This is an endless debate. Anyone can argue that any marker listed above could be the best one out right now. This poll is better answered by the individual player. You have to take into consideration that most high end guns now shoot the same, in relation to accuracy, and bps. I feel that, speaking of high-ends, the best marker is decided by how the individual prefers the marker feel and look. But for the sake of this poll, my vote would go towards either the ego or dm. Feel free to argue this point.
Actually Mr.Money, I have shot, and owned, the A1. And while my first impression was one of pleasure and delight with the accuracy of the A1. I began to be dissatisfied with the look and style of the body. Which proves my earlier point.
you guys are all in denial....whille you argue over spending 1000 dollars on your A1 and 1250 on your ego7...I'm gonna go ahead and spend about a third of that on a PMR that shoots just as fast, just as accurate, and feels better with a UL frame on...carry on my sons..
Go with the pmr, because at least you can upgrade it, and there is hardly anything for the mini for now. Also the mini is completely new technology, but the pmr uses technology that has been around for years, but simplified.
The mini is a joke. If I were you Jon, I would shoot all the guns that you are considering getting first. We have Ego's, Pm's, Marqs, Angels, Timmys, and all that good stuff on the team. So at next practice I would ask whoever to let you shoot their gun for a game so you can see how it shoots and feels. Like Ollie previously mentioned, its pretty much all user opinion. In my opinion, you have one of the most upgradable guns on the market already, I would put a trigger on that and shoot it till I could save up some money for a nicer gun. The Ion and the PMR are both condsidered low high-end guns. And you can buy nice 06 guns and some 07 guns for pretty cheap. The PMR for example is gonna cost you $400. And if you put a UL frame on it your looking at spending $600 on that gun. You can buy a used Angel 1 for $650, Ego 6's for $600, PM6's for $400, Gen 4 Timmys for 600 and less. Ollie is selling that PM6 he has, already with a UL frame, for $500. That gun is in mint condition. If it were me I would try to save my money for a different gun. But if your question is between the Mini and the PMR then undoubtably go with the PMR.
I'm a bit partial to Shockers, especially now that I own one for myself. But I've played around with them a little since'03. Even with the only difference between the SFT and NXT being mainly the reg and bb eyes, little has changed (as you all know). I have to vote NXT mainly because they feel great, are well balanced, pretty accurate even with stock AA (which is a better barrel than a lot of people lead on, at least to me), you can up the hell out of them, they look pretty swank, and they are priced quite reasonably for what you get. Now as I've played with it a few times, there are a few things that SP could have made better on the NXT. Such as a locking feedneck, and better on/off, maybe a freak back standard to name a few. After replacing those, the gun has just gotten better and better. Now don't get me wrong, it isn't near the A1, but neither is the price. The main reason I got the NXT over the A1 was because I didn't want to give up $1000+ just on a gun for the amount I play. Now if I was as serious a player as some of you guys, hell yeah, I totally would have splurged on the A1. I guess I could have gotten an A1 used, but I like my stuff shiny and new.
For the kicks and giggles, and especially price, you can't really go wrong with the NXT. I love mine and it suits me well. However, as I progress and start playing more and more, perhaps an Angel is in sight. And if I was on the same level as you guys, I'd definately be out there with the A1.
Funny how the ego 7 was in the lead until WDP gives us a sponsorship, and then the A-1 jumps into the lead.
well when one considers the gun, usually its in price ranges, as you generally expect to get what you pay for, and now suddenly the a-1 is a way lot of a better bang for the buck
and for the nxt's, sometimes you gotta just learn to let things go...
