I was lookin around in the pbreview forum and found this. It is how team infamous actually practices. I was hopin it might help at practices. He said it practices should be two days and he would add sunday the day after he posted this but never did.
How you should practice
Okay, so you're tired of scrimmaging teams because you don't know any good drills or you've just started a team and you want to get better.
A practice should last an entire weekend(if money and time allow).
Everyone should show up between 8:30-9:30 to get ready. Everyone should have air, hoppers, and pds filled, and be on the field by 10:00.
Warm-Up: 1.Start with stretching your fingers by moving them around, then move on to you're wrists, you should move them clock-wise, counter-clockwise, up, and down. Next work on your elbows by moving the clock-wise and counter-clockwise. For your shoulders, straighten one arm and pull it across your chest, then do the same with the other. Place your arm over your head and on your back and pull down with the other arm (then switch). You should stretch every part of your body to ensure that you won't hurt yourself. 2.Do about 30 seconds of jumping jacks. 3.Jog from one end of the field to the other and back. Saturday Snap Shooting: 1.You're first set should be you snapping with a target(You can use water jugs, cones, pods, paint boxes, anything. My team uses one made of PVC pipes that looks like a person) You're going to want to get into your bunker. Start off with a small bunker(besides snake) where you're on your knees. Place your inside knee down so that way if you need to move you don't have to drag your leg across the bunker to move. Take 10 shots on the left side holding the gun properly(trigger in left hand, right on reg). Imagine the guy through your bunker, pop out shooting one shot as soon as your barrel is out of your bunker and then shoot one more shot as you reach the "climax" of your snap(when you're at the farthest spot) and then immediately pop back in as fast as possible. Cycle through all the players and then do the right side. 2.Now here's where it gets more fun, get rid of the target and put in another person. Play until some one has been hit 5 times. Once everyone has gone, switch to the right side and go through it again. 3.Do the same as in #2 but as soon as the player puts the other person in, have them move to a bunker equally away from each person. 4-6Do the same as one through 3 but now in a stand up.(for drill 6, have the person try to dive to snake)
Diving and Sliding: Diving and Sliding This guide is much better than what I can give you and it's one of the best guides I've seen Running and Gunning: 1.Use you target(placed at the other teamdead box) and start at your deadbox. You're going to keep your upper body straight, sink your hips, and shoot at the target while moving as fast as you can(and still hit the target) to the back bunker. Joust:2 players start at opposite corners of the field and run down the tape trying to hit the other person Laning: Divide the team in half and take one half to the other end of the field 1.Set up a cone at each possible lane. Start in your break out position. As soon as some one says go, have the person laning, shoot at the cone while another person(at the other end) runs to the back corner(make sure they keep their eyes on back center and try to have them dive/slide into the bunker) Have every person run and lane. 2.Have one person lane while the other person shoots while moving.
Do some diving/sliding drills before lunch finish off the day scrimmaging
I think one of the biggest things we need to work on is reloading. And certain people need to be able to read the field better so they can play bunkers better.
This is supposed to be sunday, 2nd day, but i kno we only practice one day. I found out this guy is a ref in some major tournaments. He's got more stuff on pb review if u would like me to post it.
Warm Up: This is just a break out drill... 1.Divide into as many 5 man teams as possible. 2.Have one team at each end 3.On "go" have each team breakout 4.stop once everyones been in their primary bunker for 5 seconds 5.make each team go 3+ times 1-on1 Work on moving and gaining edge control, running&gunning, snap-shooting. 2-on2 1.divide into teams of 2. 2.have 1 team at each end, and have them break out 3.when they get to their primaries, they should immediately begin communitcating, and working up the field. A very common thing is called "leap frog". It where one player puts the other team in their bunkers so the player behind him can move up ahead of him, and then they switch who shoots.
5-on-3 All players start in their primaries. The 5 should be in the back bunkers. 2 of the 3 should be covering corners. The last guy goes in a bunker around the 30-50. This guy will be hidden so the other team(5) should face away until he's in his bunker 1.First the team must find where the guy is. 2.then they need to bunker him 3. then they need to shoot the 2 players
3-on-3
The yellow divides the field in half. Your trying to fight to get your guy into the 50 bunker. Circuit Training
If you practice every other week, then do these drills one week then scrimmage the next time. You should be working out as a team on the off weeks. After practice/work outs try and go do something fun together as a team so you get to know each other better.
